Mark Out of 10: A Wrestling Podcast is what happens when two wrestling fans with strong opinions, long memories and very different views on what makes wrestling great decide to put those arguments on record.
Hosted by Hawxy and Shieldz, Mark Out of 10 is built around the conversations wrestling fans have every week — who was better, which match deserves more recognition, who should have won the title, which era really was the best, and why somebody else’s Top 10 is completely wrong.
At the heart of the show are our rankings.
Champions, matches, wrestlers, rivalries, moments, factions, finishers, pay-per-views — if it exists in professional wrestling, there is a good chance we will eventually try to rank it. Sometimes we agree. Quite often we don’t. That is usually where the fun starts.
But Mark Out of 10 is about more than lists.
We talk about the current wrestling landscape, revisit the history of the business, look back at the moments that made us fans and debate the stories, performers and promotions shaping wrestling today. From WWE and AEW to the wider world of professional wrestling, nothing is necessarily off the table.
We are wrestling fans first.
That means the show is not about pretending we have all the answers. It is about having the debate, defending ridiculous opinions with far too much confidence, changing our minds when the evidence demands it and enjoying everything that makes professional wrestling such a strange, frustrating and brilliant form of entertainment.
Hawxy and Shieldz bring their own perspectives, favourites, biases and wrestling memories to every episode, creating the kind of conversations you would normally hear between friends after a show — except now there are microphones involved.
And we want the audience involved too.
